Hi everyone. I bought my '86 Savage this winter with only 8500 km on it. I'm new to bikes and bike maintenance, but have been pretty well with the help of the Clymer manual. Lately the bike has been giving me trouble at idle, where the idle speed slowly slows down until the engine stalls. I can avoid stalling by pulling the throttle a bit. The bike runs fine when out for a ride, but even at stop signs, it slows and wants to stall unless I stay on the throttle. The air filter is new, fuel filter is new, spark plug is new and I run 92 octane fuel. The carb was supposedly cleaned before I bought it. No fuel seems to be leaking from anywhere. Can anybody help??? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
